Rare Vintage Bronze NAGA BUDDHA Statue, Genuine from Thailand, Hand Sourced, Buddhist Shrine or Altar Decor

Beautiful vintage Naga Buddha statue.

5.5 in / 13.5 cm tall
100% Genuine. Hand sourced in Thailand. It's hard to date this but the estimate is 100+ years old. It has not been restored in any way and still has the soil and dirt on it from where it was found. You can see this in the photos. This may have originally come from Laos as the subject of Buddha meditating under the protection of Mucalinda is very common in Lao Buddhist art. Mucilinda is the name of a nāga, a snake-like being, who protected the Gautama Buddha from the elements after his enlightenment.

My husband and I travel every year to Asia to escape the European winters and also to source beautiful products for our business. His is art and antiques and mine is healing crystal jewelery and prayer beads. This is one of his vintage finds when we were travelling around the south of Thailand.
